2006 Awards for Innovation in Health and Food

The Awards for Innovation in Health and Food have been designed to acknowledge Mexican innovation and progress in industry and science and to reward them by improving opportunities to develop their full potential and reach commercial success.

These awards have been designed for those research projects that are in the early stages of commercial development, to the great ideas with solid scientific background that have the need to develop their intellectual property rights, create a business plan or receive guidance to guarantee their commercial viability.

Participants may be employed in the academic field, in public health institutions, private industry or joint ventures. In every case, the judges will gladly receive all contestants. In addition, participants may compete individually or as a research team or even as an established company.

The Awards for Innovation in Health and Food will offer the winners:

  1. Advice in drafting, presenting and securing a PCT patent (Patent Cooperation Treaty) and coverage of all expenses related with the international phase of a PCT patent;
